I do not know why this was constructed, but I am fascinated with it! The intense blue of the sky is the perfect background for all the sparkles!

We put these "banderitas" when we have town fiestas here in the Philippines. I guess maybe this is a legacy of the Spaniards who stayed for >300 years. Now we share the same custom like this one.
It does look festive, cool looking shot of the sky.
What's the celebration? The lines added more interest on the blue, blue sky.
